This course helps students to obtain a systematic and broad understanding of key aspects of intercultural communication. An important advantage in taking this course is that it merges academic knowledge with practical analytic skills.
2.1 Honours degree or equivalent in English language or a cognate subject; other relevant qualifications and/or experience may be considered; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7 (or a recognised equivalent English language qualification).
Modules include: Key concepts of intercultural and business communication; analysing spoken communication; analysing written communication; dissertation (intercultural communication); interpersonal communication. Modern language module option: French intermediate; Chinese.
Assessment includes essays, projects and dissertations.
