Educator in Practice
Typically you are expected to have a good Honours degree in nursing, midwifery or another relevant discipline, plus appropriate experience in a professional environment.
The two theory modules are based around themed study days covering practice; establishing effective working relationships; evidence-based practice; leadership; creating an environment for learning; facilitation of learning; assessment and accountability; and evaluation of learning. The work-based module offers the opportunity to explore an educational issue within your own sphere of practice.;
Learning methods include workshops, discussions, group work and lead lectures - enabling you to play an active part in your learning. All learning and teaching activities are supported by eBridge, our virtual learning environment.
Varied methods, include a written strategy, participation in group presentations, self and peer review and completion of a work-based project proposal.
