Petroleum, Oil and Gas (Chemical Engineering Management)

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or science related subject. Applicants must have studied mathematics at level 4 or higher.Competence in English is required for international students. For example: IELTS with 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each skill; previous study in English is accepted; candidates that do not meet the language requirements may take an English course at the University of Hull prior to entering the programme.

Course modules

Core modules: petroleum and petrochemical engineering; energy technologies; advanced process safety, industrial process control and instrumentation (technology pathway); qualitative/quantitative research in business and management (management pathway); research project. Optional modules: advanced process modelling and simulation techniques; advanced thermo-chemical processing technologies; energy generation from conventional and renewable fuels; sustainable waste management; environmental management and policy; sustainable business: principles and practice of green management; energy generation from conventional and renewable fuels.
