Advertising and Marketing

This course gives students the opportunity to pitch ideas to creative agencies or businesses as part of live projects, giving them invaluable real-life experience. Students gain the skills to select the appropriate media channels to communicate messages for the best impact with different target audiences.

Entry requirements

A minumum 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent; competence in English is required for international students. For example: IELTS with 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each skill; previous study in English is accepted; candidates that do not meet the language requirements may take an English course at the University of Hull prior to entering the programme.

Course modules

Advertising and media; public relations and organisational communications; principles of marketing management;integrated marketing communications; international marketing; buyer behaviour. Students also study professional skills and ethics, research methods and undertake a dissertation.
