International Business

This programme develops universal business skills, while also focusing on the wider issues of global business, such as managing diverse cultures and understanding differing political and economic perspectives on business. Students formulate competitive global strategies and conduct research, as they come into contact with current issues and the latest research. Students explore topics including governance issues and the additional complexity arising from cross-border transactions.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent. International applicants - Competence in English is required for international students. For example: IELTS with 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each skill; previous study in English is accepted; candidates that do not meet the language requirements may take an English course at the University of Hull prior to entering the programme.

Course modules

International business context; the region in international business; regulation and international business; the international firm and its strategy; cross culture management; global political economy. Students also study professional skills and ethics, research methods and undertake a dissertation.
