University of Kent
Modern German and Comparative Literature
This course is aimed at students who wish to deepen their knowledge of modern German literature within a broader European context. Kent is one of the few universities in the UK to have a thriving Comparative Literature Department, giving you the opportunity to hone your literary and analytical skills not only on German texts, but also on a broader range of modern literature. The programme is suitable both for those who wish to take their undergraduate studies a stage further and for those who wish to go on to a career in literary studies or intend to do a PhD.
A 2.1 in a relevant subject (normally German), or equivalent. Please also check our website for general entry requirements (including English language requirements).
Assessment is by a 5000 word essay for each module, and the dissertation.
