This programme is a conversion that prepares graduates from any discipline for a career in computing, or a career involving the application of computing within their original professional field. Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds including natural sciences, engineering, arts, humanities and social sciences. No prior knowledge of computer science is required.
A 1st, 2.1 or good 2.2 Honours degree (or equivalent) in any subject.
Assessment is through a mixture of written examinations and coursework, the relative weights of which vary according to the nature of the module. The final project is assessed by a dissertation, except for the MSc in IT Consultancy for which the practical consultancy work is assessed through a series of reports covering each of the projects undertaken.
