Mathematics and its Applications

If your mathematical background is insufficient for direct entry to the MSc in Mathematics and its Applications, you may apply for this course. The first year of the programme has been designed to give you a strong background in mathematics, equivalent to the Graduate Diploma in Mathematics. This is followed by the MSc in Mathematics and its Applications.

Entry requirements

A good ordinary Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent, in an appropriate subject. Please also check our website for general entry requirements (including English language requirements).

Course modules

Most programmes will require students to study a combination of compulsory and optional modules. Students may also have the option to take modules from other programmes so that they may customise their programme and explore other subject areas that interest them.

Assessment methods

Closed book examinations, take-home problem assignments and computer laboratory assignments (depending on the module).
