This course provides a background in financial principles and practices, and develops skills needed by future business and financial professionals. It provides a framework of knowledge, insight and vision regarding the key issues in finance, the finance function of organisations, and operations and functions of financial institutions and markets. Students develop an appropriate range of cognitive, critical, intellectual and research skills, plus relevant personal and interpersonal skills to interact in the real world of business and organisations. This programme also prepares you for research or further study in this field.
A 1st degree (2.1 or equivalent) in a relevant subject, such as finance; accounting; electronics; mathematics; engineering; or any mathematically based discipline. Applications from students with a business studies background are also welcome.
Assessment is by examination and coursework, plus the dissertation.
