University of Kent
Law (Erasmus Europe)
This programme enables students to obtain an LLM by spending their first term at Kent, and their second at one of our partner universities in Europe, before returning to Kent to complete a dissertation. The programme gives students the opportunity to study at two high-quality law schools and also lets them experience two countries, their cultures and their legal systems. During your second term, you complete a comparative research paper, supervised by Kent staff, on an area of law that you have studied at both Kent and your partner university.
A 1st or high 2nd class honours degree in law or a related subject. Kent Law School (KLS) may also take account of relevant work experience when considering applications.
Assessment is by a 4-5,000-word essay. Students undertaking an LLM degree must write a dissertation of 15-20,000 words.
