Race and Resistance
This course gives you breadth and depth of knowledge of historical and theoretical approaches to race and strategies of resistance, in a unique combination of: American, African, Indian and British history
A 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent, in History or a related subject; applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in all components.
Core modules: research methodology in history; approaches to race.
Assessment is based on coursework, with a mixture of essays, discursive writing, reviews, and presentations. Optional modules are generally assessed with the submission of two 3000 word essays, and the dissertation is of 15,000 words in length, submitted at the end of the academic year.
