Chinese Business and the Asia Pacific
This programme prepares students for a career in organisations dealing with China and acts as a conversion course for those considering advanced academic or professional engagement with China. The programme covers concepts, information and techniques informed by knowledge at the forefront of Chinese business and Asia pacific studies; students study the general and specific abilities needed in cross-cultural business situations dealing with China or the Asia pacific; students are required to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of techniques applicable to their own research, take a proactive and self reflective role in working, develop professional relationships with others and evaluate critically and creatively, current issues, research and advanced scholarship in Chinese business studies.
A 2.1 Honours degree or other equivalent qualifications and or relevant work experience; IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in all components.
Core modules: Chinese business; principles and practice of research; Chinese business; globalisation of innovation; the emerging markets; the economics of China; dissertation; plus 1 chosen from; Chinese politics; China�s development; political economy of the Pacific Rim. In addition you choose from a range of optional modules, including cross cultural management and international Business theory.
These include a dissertation.
