Conference Interpreting (Bidirectional)

You undertake professional training in bidirectional interpreting, working both ways between your mother tongue and your other active working language. The Centre for Translation Studies has designed a number of optional modules that are led by research and respond to the concerns of the translation industry, dealing with machine translation, the uses of corpora, technical writing, an introduction to translation technologies and an introduction to audiovisual translation.

Entry requirements

A good undergraduate degree (2.1 Honours or above, or the equivalent) and an excellent command of 1 or more foreign languages. Exceptionally, candidates with equivalent qualifications or experience will be considered. For non-native English speakers, an overall IELTS score of at least 7.0 (with not less than 7.5 in speaking and listening and not less than 6.5 in reading and writing) is required.
