History and Philosophy of Science

Research may be supervised in wide area of history and philosophy of science from early modern period to the 20th Century; the major fields of PhD recruitment are philosophy of science, philosophy of physics, and history of science, technology and medicine from 17th to 20th Centuries.

Entry requirements

MA by research a good 2.1 or above in philosophy or a similar discipline; for MPhil or PhD an MA or above; English language requirements 7.0 overall on IELTS (with a minimum of 6.5 in listening and reading, and 7 in speaking and writing).
