Religious Studies and Global Development

This programme provides the opportunity for advanced study of the engagement between religion(s) and global development. Both programmes enable expertise and skills related to professional work in the development field. The Religious Studies and Global Development programme allows students to pursue a scholarly interest in the socio- cultural and political dimensions of religion(s) in development. The nature of religion(s) as a resource, obstacle and critical participant in development is investigated, as is co-operation between religion(s), aid agencies and local communities.
