Philosophy of Science

This course provides you with the opportunity to develop an advanced understanding of contemporary philosophy of science. You will gain an in-depth understanding of major philosophical themes in modern science, while developing analytical skills in relation to philosophical research. The course will examine current debates in philosophy of science and enable you to locate your own position. Core modules cover both classic and current key themes in philosophy of science, and you pick a further 2 modules from a very broad selection of options. You also write a research dissertation on a topic of your choice.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline; IELTS 6.5 (not less than 6.0 in all components).
