Accounting and Finance
This course delivers advanced modules in the key areas of accounting and finance. Our programme is delivered by a team of experienced academics and professionals. Practical examples and trading simulations give students the chance to test their knowledge in real-life scenarios.
A bachelors degree with a 2:1 or equivalent in a relevant subject, e.g. accounting, finance, economics, mathematics. Must have a good grounding in quantative subjects. A background in accounting is essential. Applicants whose first language is not English will need to attain an IELTS overall test score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any individual skill, or a recognised equivalent (e.g. TOEFL).
Modules including: Financial reporting and regulation; corporate finance; quantitative methods; accounting and organisational performance; applied finance; financial analysis. Dissertation route: Dissertation; research methods in finance; plus 2 optional modules (at least 1 from list a). Non dissertation route: Securities markets microstructure; consumer and corporate credit; current issues in finance; plus 3 optional modules (at least 1 from list a). Optional modules: List a: Information and organisation design; corporate governance; list b: international business finance; forensic accounting and finance; behavioural finance; international banking and finance; international investment.
There are a number of part fee scholarships available for UK, EU and international students.
