Advertising and Marketing
A combination of academic study with practical hand-on approach gives you the skills employers are looking for. Designed to cover core marketing elements, with a specialist focus on advertising and marketing communications, this course will give you with the practical skills you need for a career in marketing. It is taught by staff with extensive corporate experience meaning you get skills and knowledge directly relevant to the workplace. The programme is also approved and accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to provide entry onto the Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
A good UK Bachelor's degree (minimum 2.1) or equivalent qualification in a subject other than marketing. If English is not your first language, you will need either TOEFL iBT at least 92 overall (with a minimum of 21 in Listening, 21 in Reading, 23 in Speaking and 22 in Writing) or IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 (with 6 or more in each section).
Core modules: Consumer behaviour; marketing communications; global strategic marketing; media planning and strategy; public relations and corporate communications; advertising; professional skills and employability; marketing research. Compulsory: Consultancy project or dissertation. Optional modules: Brand management and corporate identity; sales promotion and sponsorship; social media marketing; direct, digital and interactive marketing.
There are a number of part fee scholarships available for UK, EU and international students.
