You will undertake research training and publish along the way. A Leeds University Business School PhD is a high quality doctorate and part of the ESRC-accredited White Rose Doctoral Training Centre. On completion you will have become an independent researcher, had the opportunity to acquire teaching skills and developed both intellectually and personally.
Good Bachelors degree (BA/BSc) or equivalent qualification for MA (Res) entry. Good British Masters (60 per cent or above) or equivalent qualification for PhD entry. For all research degree programmes a pass in an approved test in English is required for applicants whose first language is not English: IELTS 7.0 overall with 6.0 in each section, or TOEFL iBT: 100 overall with 21 in listening, 21 in reading, 23 in speaking, and 22 in writing.
Areas of research: nature and philosophy of social science research; econometrics.
Assessment is varied, and is comprised of a combination of coursework, presentations and research reports.
There are a variety of scholarships available at School and University level for UK, EU and International students.
