This course gives you extensive knowledge of the management consultancy industry and an appreciation of the latest challenges. You will gain understanding of consulting techniques and methodologies, develop a range of transferable skills and acquire useful industry contacts and experience. You will study the key theories, debates and practices used in management consultancy and develop professional consultancy skills using a combination of simulations, business games and live case studies. You will also have the opportunity to deliver your own consultancy project and practice a range of consultancy skills, from bidding and scope negotiation to the final presentation and report.
A Bachelor's degree with a 2.1 (Honours) or international equivalent, in any subject. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component, or another specified English language qualification.
Modules include: Evidence based consultancy; management consulting (facts, theories and issues); management consulting (the consulting life cycle); research methods and practice for consultants; management consulting project. Optional modules include: Diversity management; human resource management (an international perspective); information tools for organisations; internal communications and change management; international employment policy and labour mobility; managing change; strategic management; training and development.
