Energy and Environment

This course enables students to gain an understanding of the environmental impacts of energy technology choices and the technical expertise to further develop them, preparing you to handle the complex challenges created by the growing energy demands, climate change and urban growth of the 21st century.

Entry requirements

A bachelor degree with a 2:2 (hons) in an engineering, physical science or mathematics discipline. We accept a range of international equivalent qualifications.

Course modules

Modules include: Research project; pollution sampling and analysis; renewable technologies; atmospheric pollution: impacts and controls; advanced renewable technologies. optional modules: combustion theory and design; energy management and conservation; fuel processing; advanced engines and turbines.
