Dental Public Health

This programme is an opportunity to enhance professional, clinical and academic knowledge alongside others from a multi-disciplinary background; it is aimed at dental professionals wishing to develop the knowledge, skills and commitment to develop services which are equitable and fair; this programme helps students develop a greater understanding of the competing demands, resource implications and expectations in providing a public dental service apposite to the 21st Century; this programme emphasises on: Student directed learning; multi-disciplinary teaching and learning; problem solving; skills training; flexibility.

Entry requirements

Graduates with a medical or dental degree are encouraged to apply.
For non-dental or non-medically qualified professionals a 2nd Class Honours degree, in a relevant subject is required, or a professional qualification with several years work experience (approximately 3-5 years). New graduates applying to this programme with limited or no work experience in a health related area would be expected to have achieved a 2nd Class Honours, 1st division (2.1) or above. IELTS: 7.0 overall with not less than 6.5 in every skill.
