The programme has been designed primarily to enable students to meet the advanced practice core competences of the Yorkshire and humbler strategic health authority (Y&H SHA); these competences are: providing effective healthcare, improving the quality and health outcomes, evaluation and research, leading and developing practice, developing self and others, working across professional and organisational boundaries, innovation and changing practice; students are able to undertake advanced practice skills and engage in work based learning.
Current registration with the appropriate health care professional body, where applicable; plus an Honours degree (normally minimum 2.1) from a recognised higher education institution in health related discipline; plus support from a manager and availability of a mentor; satisfactory application and interview.
