A 2.1 Honours degree in a relevant subject area. Professional experience will also be considered. IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component.
Core modules: Studio practice; exhibition; fine art dissertation; essential research skills 1; essential research skills 2. Optional modules include: Reading sexual difference; capitalism-criticism-contemporary art; feminism and culture: theoretical perspectives; unfinished business (trauma, cultural memory and the holocaust); aesthetics and politics; encountering things (art and entanglement in Anglo-Saxon England); the origins of postcolonial England; technology, media and critical literacy; humanity, animality and globality; the margins of medieval art.
The assessment methods you come across may vary depending on the modules you choose. However, they are likely to include your exhibition and supporting written work, your portfolio of studio work, in-course assessment, essays and presentations.
