Film Photography and Media
A Bachelor's degree with a 2.1 Honours, preferably with some background in lens-based or image practice. Relevant professional experience will also be considered. IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component.
Core modules: Cultures of contemporary photography; cinematic and photography; dissertation and research methods or final independent project. Optional modules include: Dissertation and research methods; final independent project; international film industries; new media cultures; identity, culture and technology; urban narratives; theoretical perspectives: culture, creativity and entrepreneurship; cultural policy (models and debates); television narrative; work placement; feminism, identity and media; the media and democratisation (global perspectives); communication and development; the cultural history of promotional communication; writing for film and television.
Different methods of assessment will be used, some of which will depend on the modules you choose. These are likely to include portfolios of practical work, group and individual projects and reports, essays, literature reviews, case studies, presentations, scripts and commentaries.
