Culture, Creativity and Entrepreneurship

This innovative programme explores how arts and creative enterprises work in theory and practice, as well as the impact they can have on individuals and communities. You will gain an understanding of the policy contexts of creative work, analyse and apply theories of art and culture and examine the cultural industries that comprise the arts, including theatre, performance, dance, opera, crafts, and museums.

Entry requirements

A Bachelor's degree with a 2.1 (Honours). If you do not have this qualification, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant industry experience. IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component.

Course modules

Modules include: Theoretical perspectives (culture, creativity and entrepreneurship); research perspectives; research project. Optional modules: Ats management and cultural leadership; critical debates in culture and place; cultural policy (models and debates); enterprise and consultancy practice; creative work; audience experience and engagement.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by methods such as essays, presentations, reports and project work.
