A degree in archaeology, ancient history, classical studies or cognate subjects with appropriate content or equivalent professional qualifications or experience. Those with a 1st degree in other subjects may take some of our undergraduate distance learning modules as bridging courses to postgraduate study.
The title of the student's eventual qualification depends on which module(s) students choose. Students can study any 2 modules (30 credits each) or 1 module (30 credits) and a dissertation (30 credits). The University's Admissions Office contacts students to confirm their choices.
The course is taught by distance learning and in the case of field-based modules, a week-long residential component. Each module contains at least 2 assignments which test a range of skills.
