The course equips students with sound knowledge and understanding of the application of psychology in the occupational context in such a way as to provide a solid basis for further professional training and practice.
A second class honours degree in Psychology or other qualification giving the Graduate Basis for Chartership of the British Psychological Society and usually some relevant work experience is required.
Modules include: personnel selection and assessment; ergonomics; psychology of organisations; psychology of occupational training; the individual at work; research methodology; plus empirical dissertation for MSc.
Each module is assessed separately by written assignments and there is a final dissertation.
