Advanced Materials Engineering
A 1st or good 2nd Class Honours degree in a relevant subject or a qualification recognised by the University as equivalent.
MATLAB and CAD; advanced fluid dynamics; advanced solid mechanics; individual project; computational fluid dynamics; advanced materials modelling; aerospace materials; dynamics of mechanical systems. Plus 1 option module from: current trends in aerospace; modelling and classification of data; systems engineering and spacecraft systems; understanding surfaces in engineering.
Performance in modules is assessed by means of open and closed examination papers and a range of continuously assessed work. All MSc students are required to produce a dissertation including the results obtained in the individual project module.
