Space Exploration Systems
The Space Exploration Systems MSc focuses on robotic and human space exploration. It equips students with the in-depth knowledge and professional skills to embark on a successful career in the thriving and innovative international space industry. Designed for physicists and engineers, this cutting-edge course explores space systems engineering, space instrumentation, the space environment, space power systems (including nuclear power systems) and space mission design. This course intends to bridge the divide between systems engineering and space and planetary science. Students are educated in an international environment, and graduate equipped with the top-level competency, professional skills and advanced space project experience to meet the requirements of the European and broader international space sectors.
The MSc entry requirements are a 1st or 2.1 BSc, BEng, honours degree, MPhys, MEng or Masters degree in a relevant subject or a qualification recognised by the University of Leicester as equivalent. Students with a 2.2 or equivalent degree classification applying for the course are also considered on a case by case basis.
Assessment methods include examinations, continuous assessment and assessment by course work.
