Mostly interdisciplinary research on various aspects of communication process, media institutions and media policies at national and international levels; recent topics in following fields: international communication traffic; development of press and broadcasting in national contexts; evaluation of communication campaigns; production and distribution studies; new communication technologies; censorship; economies of communication industries; media and culture; journalism; comparative studies of media output; media and politics; media and social problems (violence; race; alcohol consumption; sexual behaviour; health etc.); community and communication; media and environmental issues; media and health; film; popular industry.
