Business Administration

Students study the current and emerging theories, techniques, and practices of management; students engage with the academic literature, case studies, and each other, whilst reflecting on their own managerial and business experiences; students study the requirements for senior management positions in both public and private sector organisations.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree or its equivalent or an acceptable professional qualification; or possession of either the University of Leicester�s diploma in management or the University of Leicester�s professional diploma in management, plus at least 3 years' relevant work experience; candidates whose 1st language is not English must possess IELTS 6.5; or TOEFL 575 (paper) plus TWE 4.0, 90 (IBT); or The University of Leicester English Language Test.

Course modules

Academic skills and knowledge; organisational behaviour; accounting for managers; marketing design and operations; business ethics in a global context; corporate finance; strategy, business information and analysis; 2 option modules; research methods; dissertation. These are examples of modules available for current students. Module availability may change in future years.

Assessment methods

Student performance is assessed through both assignments and examinations.
