University of Lincoln
International Design Enterprise
This is an interdisciplinary programme that combines creativity with entrepreneurism and actively engages with the global design community. It enables students to learn how to operate as effective design innovators through a series of live projects. Students are introduced to key entrepreneurial concepts, providing the opportunity to evaluate the commercial potential of their own designs and to develop creative and commercially viable outputs for an international audience. Students are able to present their designs at international trade fairs and exhibitions in Europe, the USA or the far east.
Applicants will need to have a relevant undergraduate degree qualification at 2.1 level or above, present a portfolio that demonstrates creative awareness, and submit 2 academic references in addition to the standard application.
Modules include creative problem-solving methods for designers; design debates; entrepreneurial effectiveness; research-led practice and practice-led research.
Assessment is conducted throughout the academic year and consists of a combination of practical portfolio, presentation and critical appraisal.
All UK or EU students who hold a 1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours degree from another institution will receive a 20% reduction in tuition fees when they enrol on a University of Lincoln taught Master's programme. The scholarship is offset against tuition fee payments due for each academic year of study. Please note that the Master of Architecture (Part 2) and MBA programmes are exceptions to this scheme, as other scholarships are in place for those courses.
