University of Lincoln
This course has a distinct focus on design research and enterprise and is driven by your own creative practice. Throughout this programme, we actively encourage students to test, adapt and judge the success of their practice - and continuously relate this to a developing theoretical and conceptual framework. This helps students engage in a critical design practice that will challenge and enhance understanding of the subject.
Applicants should possess a good Honours degree in a related subject or have considerable work experience within the field.
Example modules include design debates; graphic design creative practice; entrepreneurial effectiveness; research-led practice and practice-led research.
Assessment is through project work and written studies. Students normally exhibit in a Final Show of work held during September.
All UK or EU students who hold a 1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours degree from another institution will receive a 20% reduction in tuition fees when they enrol on a University of Lincoln taught Master's programme. The scholarship is offset against tuition fee payments due for each academic year of study. Please note that the Master of Architecture (Part 2) and MBA programmes are exceptions to this scheme, as other scholarships are in place for those courses.
