MPhil/PhD: A relevant Master's degree. For MA (Res): A minimum 2.2 Honours degree in a related discipline.
Research areas include: gender and politics in the 20th Century; medieval ecclesiastical history; 20th Century British political history; museum history; history of anarchism; medieval masculinity; early modern science and medicine; late antique and medieval Spain; Anglo-American relations; 20th-century mass culture.
The assessment at this level of study takes the form of an 80,000 word thesis. MA (Res) students will be expected to write a dissertation of around 25,000 words.
