This course explores the role of PR counsel in both commercial and not-for-profit organisations in an international context. It offers an opportunity to critically assess the contemporary theories, issues and practice of corporate communications and public relations. This degree recognises the rapid changed in the international communications environment and allows students to become confident in their understanding and application of today's essential multiplatform communications channels. Students research and critique developments in PR practice with a strong emphasis on an ethical approach to organisational storytelling in the post-Leveson era.
Applicants must have a 2.2 or higher in any subject.
Modules cover crucial aspects of communications law, developments in social media, integrated multiplatform communications and global communications.
This course makes use of a full range of assessment and feedback tools, which may include written exams, written assignments, dissertation, portfolio, project output, oral assessment and presentation, practical skills assessment and set exercises.
All UK or EU students who hold a 1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours degree from another institution will receive a 20% reduction in tuition fees when they enrol on a University of Lincoln taught Master's programme. The scholarship is offset against tuition fee payments due for each academic year of study. Please note that the Master of Architecture (Part 2) and MBA programmes are exceptions to this scheme, as other scholarships are in place for those courses.
