University of Lincoln
This course nurtures the development of choreographic rigour, criticality and reflective practice. This studio-based programme is focused around five carefully honed practice-based modules, all of which include lively debate and physical questioning. The course provides students with the opportunity to examine, explore, facilitate and perform choreographic strategies in a playful yet demanding environment where collaboration, experimentation and risk taking are encouraged.
Applicants should possess at least a 2.1 in an Honours degree, or equivalent qualification. Relevant professional experience may be taken into consideration.
Modules include Choreographic Strategies; Facilitating Dance Creation; Examining Choreography; Practice as Research Methods.
Assessment occurs at the end of each module and consists of the presentation of live works-in-progress, lecture demonstrations, performances, written critical reflection and documentation.
All UK or EU students who hold a 1st or Upper 2nd Class Honours degree from another institution will receive a 20% reduction in tuition fees when they enrol on a University of Lincoln taught Masters programme. The scholarship is offset against tuition fee payments due for each academic year of study.
