Globalising Justice

This course offers a unique and challenging opportunity to develop one of the themes of governance, criminal justice or citizenship. It enables students to explore the concepts of human rights and criminal and social justice. Its content and structure make it particularly attractive to those wishing to undertake advanced education in a specific area of global justice. The programme is well suited to practitioners employed in sectors such as health, housing, education, social welfare services, the criminal justice system, the police and probation services.

Entry requirements

A good Honours degree (usually 2.1 or higher) in a relevant subject, or professional equivalent; appropriate work experience or knowledge considered on an individual basis.

Course modules

Modules include globalisation and the policy process; applied research methods; tools of analysis; international human rights; terrorism; trans-national and organised crime; issues in crime and social justice; policy and strategy in a global context; public policy, administration and management; global social policy.

Assessment methods

Each programme is assessed by a range of assignments and, in the case of the Masters award, by dissertation.

Sponsorship information

All UK or EU students who hold a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree from another institution will receive a 20% reduction in tuition fees when they enrol on a University of Lincoln taught Master's programme. The scholarship is offset against tuition fee payments due for each academic year of study. Please note that the Master of Architecture (Part Two) and MBA programmes are exceptions to this scheme, as other scholarships are in place for those courses. Visit this link for further details:
