Sports and Exercise Science

Studying for an MPhil or PhD requires students to develop the critical thinking, reflective academic and research skills to underpin a lifetime of investigative learning. It involves devising and conducting an original piece of research under the supervision of staff with expertise in the area you have chosen. As part of the research community, students' area of expertise will be aligned to sport and exercise science or sport development and coaching. Encompassing areas of physiology, biomechanics, sociology and psychology, our community of research scientists aims to support and promote excellence in applied research

Entry requirements

All applicants should have a 2.1 Honours degree in sport, exercise and/or coaching science or a related subject. Enrolment directly on to a PhD requires a related Master's degree.
