Sport and Physical Education by Research
This course provides the opportunity to specialise in physical education and to develop understanding, knowledge and skills around the academic interrelationship and development of sport and physical education. Studying for a higher degree by research provides a special sequence of challenges and rewards. It involves devising and conducting an original piece of research under the supervision of staff with expertise in sport and physical education. The advantage of a research degree is the chance to become specialised in a particular area. Students have the opportunity to develop their own ideas and there is a sense of ownership and achievement in the final product.
Applicants should possess a good Honours degree in sport, exercise, coaching science or a related subject.
MSc by Research degrees are available in sport coaching; sports development; sport and physical education; sport and exercise science.
