Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology
The normal requirement for entry on to a taught programme is a good 2.2 or equivalent Honours degree in a relevant field of study. Individual consideration is given to mature students with significant and relevant experience and with professional qualifications. All applicants must have reached a minimum required standard of English language, and are required to provide evidence of this. Qualifications accepted include GCSE English; GCE O level English. IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component). TOEFL iBT 88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: listening and writing 21, reading 22, speaking 23.
Compulsory modules include: Computer Aided Design; Manufacturing Strategy; Materials Processing and Selection; Applied Cnc Machining; Computer Integrated Manufacturing; Industrial Robotics and Automated Assembly; Project (60 Credits); Additive Manufacturing; Advanced Manufacturing With Lasers. Optional modules include: Product Design; Operations Modelling and Simulation; Supply Chain Operations Management; Laser Materials Processing; Energy and The Environment; Design for Environment, Manufacture and Assembly; Integrated Systems Design; Enterprise Studies; Total Quality Management 1.
