The course provides intensive preparation for further research in ancient history. There are additional opportunities to study Greek and Latin at every level from beginners to advanced. After the core modules you can choose from a unique range of specialist Greek and Roman history courses, all of which are taught in very small groups or one-to-one. This allows you to tailor a programme to suit your research interests and agenda, and to complete your large-scale supervised dissertation on the agreed topic of your choice.
A 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study. All applicants must have reached a minimum required standard of English language, qualifications accepted include GCSE English; A-level English; language; IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component); TOEFL iBT 88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: listening and writing 21, reading 22, speaking 23.
