Modern Languages (by directed research)
The course is directed research which culminates in the production of 15,000 word dissertation. It allows postgraduates to pursue an individual research project through weekly supervisory meetings with a subject specialist. Alongside modules which are designed to provide a course of guided research, students also take a compulsory taught module which introduces them to the discipline of modern language studies in the UK and to the range and diversity of current research in languages and cultures.
A 2.1 degree in a subject relevant to the proposed field of research. IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component).
