International Finance and Banking Law (online)

The programme equips students with the skills and knowledge required to manage the demands of the global financial industry within a legal context; it provides a firm foundation in commercial law and the opportunity to pursue a specific area of corporate and regulatory legislation; students gain an advanced understanding of the framework that governs international financial markets and transactions, and a keen awareness of current and likely future developments.

Entry requirements

Good Honours degree in a relevant subject.

Course modules

Core modules cover: Legal methodology; conflict of laws in business and commerce; aspects of banking law; international finance law; international taxation law; international law and foreign investment; plus 1 optional module from: law of business organisations; EU law and the single market; corporate governance and international money laundering regulation.

Assessment methods

In addition to taught modules, students complete an original dissertation.
