Metaphysics, Language and Mind

This programme offers students the opportunity to study philosophy within the analytic tradition, specifically in relation to themes in metaphysics, language and mind.

Entry requirements

Applicants require a 2.1 Honours degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field. All applicants must have reached a minimum required standard of English language, qualifications accepted include GCSE English; A-level English language; IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component); TOEFL iBT 88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: listening and writing 21, reading 22, speaking 23.

Course modules

Core modules: Research skills; main seminar 2; dissertation; optional modules: metaphysics; philosophy of religion; symbolic logic; philosophy of mathematics; philosophy of mind; philosophy of language; theory of knowledge.
