Sustainable Environmental Design in Architecture (SEDA)

This course is available with specialist modules that include designing for climate change, sustainable architecture, low carbon technologies and computer modelling of sustainable environments. It is for graduates and professionals wanting to learn about the increasingly important area of sustainable design. Students also develop practical skills in computer modelling and environmental assessment.

Entry requirements

Applicants normally need to have a Bachelors degree (with Honours) at 2:1 level or better in an appropriate field of study; IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component); TOEFL iBT 88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: Listening and Writing 21, Reading 22, Speaking 23; International Baccalaureate Standard Level (Grade 5); Hong Kong use of English AS level C; INDIA Standard XII 70% or above from Central and Metro State Boards; WAEC C4-6.

Course modules

Core modules: Current themes in architectural research; critiques and communication in the visual arts and architecture; current themes in sustainable design; ma thesis; research methodology; optional modules: construction and management; computer aided architectural design project; sustainable environmental design.
