University of Liverpool
Reading for Life
Students study how creative literature and its depiction of human troubles and possibilities resonates with people emotionally and imaginatively; and how reading can contribute to health in its broadest sense. Students study books of all kinds and from all periods. They will gain the ability and confidence to use all literature as a form of personal time-travel and meditation and in turn to create this process for others.
1 Sir Frank Kermode Postgraduate Scholarship of £1,000 pro rata is awarded on a competitive basis; home and EU students with 1st Class degrees are encouraged to apply for AHRB funding.
