The programme is suitable for applicants working in health, public management, environmental and related fields. With the understanding this programme will give you, you will be able to put public health principles into effect in a variety of settings including research, practice and the interface of applied research.
Applicants must be University graduates in a health or health related profession. Non-health graduates and others considered on an individual basis. All applicants must have reached a minimum required standard of English language, qualifications accepted include GCSE English; A-level English language; IELTS 7.5 (with a minimum of 7.0 in each component); TOEFL iBT 88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: listening and writing 21, reading 22, speaking 23.
Core modules: Health and society; quantitative research methods i; management of health systems; health promotion; qualitative research methods; health economics; policy and politics in public health; optional modules: quantitative research methods ii; health protection; health promotion in Europe; European public health: policy and practice; health impact assessment.
