Business Finance and Management
The programme provides the professional skills and gain a critical awareness of the issues involved in leading and managing complex organisations, with a particular emphasis on business finance and the role of business in society. The programme has 3 key elements: a grounding in the core disciplines essential to management; specialised instruction in business finance, including taught courses; a project or dissertation comprising an independent piece of research linking the first two elements. The programme emphasises the enhancement of business and management skills (analysis, problem solving, decision-making, effective communication and leadership) which can be applied in the modern organisation. The core elements of the programme (leadership, strategy, managing the environment, managing change and innovation, managing financial resources) are delivered in concentrated blocks to encourage depth of understanding and to facilitate interactive teaching and learning.
A 2.1 Honours degree, or an equivalent professional qualification. Non-graduates with professional experience and or other prior qualifications may also be considered. Candidates should normally be expected to have a minimum of 3 years appropriate work experience. All candidates must meet our required level of English. All applicants must have reached a minimum required standard of English language, qualifications accepted include GCSE English; A-level English language; IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component); TOEFL Paper 570 TWE of 4-4.5.
