The programme provides you with a sound theoretical grounding in the broad area of business and management, together with the ability to apply what you learn effectively within organisations. You will gain: A general overview of management and organisational processes; comprehensive management skills; effective tactical and strategic management abilities, including critical thinking; information technology (IT) skills, including the use of financial and statistical software; effective written and spoken communication skills.

Entry requirements

Normally a 2.1 Honours degree in any discipline or an equivalent academic qualification. Non-graduates with very extensive professional experience and or other prior qualifications may also be considered. All candidates must meet our required level of English. All applicants must have reached a minimum required standard of English language, qualifications accepted include GCSE English; A-level English; language; IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0) in each component). TOEFL Paper 570 TWE of 4-4.5.

Course modules

Core modules: Applied business research methods; managing finance; economics for management; strategic organization; strategic business analysis; dissertation; optional modules: introduction to international business; global corporate strategy; entrepreneurship and business creation; marketing management; corporate governance; government and business; public management and leadership; social enterprise; becoming a leader; entrepreneurial decision making; entrepreneurial marketing.
